Our Itinerary

Touch down at Lihue International Airport. Pick up our rental car.

This is where we'll stay while we're in Kauai. I'm sure we'll be pretty tired after a day of travel, so let's take it easy tonight: unpack, enjoy the condo, maybe walk down the beach to get our first taste (metaphorically) of the ocean.

We don't have any specific plans today. I'm sure we'll be tired after the wedding, so let's take it easy.

Let's get to the beach for our first Hawaiian sunset.

We'll rent some paddleboards, travel up the Wailua River and hike to a waterfall with a pool where we can swim.

We'll ride a helicopter around Kauai, getting some incredible views of places we'll visit later and some things we can't see otherwise, like the waterfall from Jurassic Park.

We had a busy day yesterday, so let's sleep in.

We'll take a drive up Waimea Canyon, "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific" and stop at some overlooks where we can see down the canyon to the ocean. At the top of the drive, there are views of the Na Pali Coast and a short hike to a waterfall.

Let's take another day to relax and enjoy the beach. This might be a good day for an easy hike to Ha'ula Beach, which probably isn't good for swimming, but would be a quite place to hang out. Let's not forget the Frisbee and some lunch.

We don't have anything big planned for this morning. It would be a good opportunity to visit the coffee farm.

We'll take a catamaran from Eleele to see the dramatic Na Pali Coast at sunset. Dinner served on board. No shoes allowed apparently.

We have to be out of the condo, but we still have a full day before our flight. Let's have a good last day on Kauai.
